Tamela Hawley

Tamela Hawley is a professor at University of Maryland University College in the Women-in-Business Program and teaches “Women as Leaders,” and she is Director of Research and Accountability for the Baltimore County Public Schools (Department of Research, Accountability, and Assessment). Previously, she was Dean of Planning and Institutional Research at Prince George’s Community College. She has worked in higher education for over 15 years as both a faculty member and as an administrator. She holds a doctorate in higher education and social change from the University of California, Los Angeles. Hawley serves on the board of the National Baldrige Quality Improvement Program and is an evaluator for the Middle States Commission on Higher Education.
