Sally Schmall
Before founding Academy Coaching located in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Sally Schmall worked for 15 years within higher education as a faculty career counselor providing career coaching and professional leadership development workshops for doctoral students, faculty and senior academic administrators at the University of Michigan. Sally specialized in leadership development and negotiation skill building with women pursuing faculty careers in science, engineering and medicine.
Throughout the last three years of her career at Michigan she served as the Director of the Academic Dual Career Recruitment and Retention program for the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts (LS&A) working closely with academic dual career couples from across the world to ensure that their academic job offer(s) met their dual career needs. Sally continues to hold a faculty appointment at the University of Michigan teaching courses on leadership development, project management and organizational change.
As founder of Academy Coaching, Sally provides confidential career coaching and professional development workshops in higher education and academic medicine.
