Janet Baldwin Anderson, Ph.D.

Janet Baldwin Anderson is a certified coach and researcher specializing in lifelong learning and professional development. She has more than 25 years experience in leadership and management positions in the public and private sectors. As president of JBA Coaching Services, LLC, Janet draws on a wealth of experience and knowledge to foster effective communication, self-awareness, and the development of professional and personal competence. Her coaching clients include individuals and organizational leaders seeking to identify and connect with their authentic sense of purpose to achieve greater satisfaction, balance, and accomplishment. In addition to her coaching and consulting work, Anderson serves as adjunct faculty for the Fielding Graduate University where she teaches online graduate level theory courses in evidence-based coaching. Previously, Anderson was managing analyst at the American Institutes for Research (AIR) in Washington, D.C., leading projects related to federally-supported large-scale assessments in K-12 education and in adult literacy. She also directed research activities for the GED Testing Service and the Center for Adult Learning and Educational Credentials at the American Council on Education. She conducted national surveys addressing the schooling, employment and academic goals, literacy skills, and test performance of adult learners in the U.S. and in Canada who seek high school diplomas through the GED Tests.

Anderson obtained certification in leadership coaching from Georgetown University’s Center for Professional Development, Ph.D. in educational research and evaluation methods from University of Maryland, and an M.Ed. and a B.A. from the University of Florida.
