An independent communications consultant since 1997, Andrea Jarrell combines the power of strategy with the power of an institution’s distinctive story. Jarrell’s work has received numerous honors from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) and Admissions Marketing Report, as well as being recognized by The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS). Clients return to her not only for her talents, but also for the integrity, diligence, and genuine interest in education, teachers, and students that she brings to each project. She is the former director of public relations and communication for Scripps College, and, later, its director of development. Jarrell holds a B.A. in British/American literature from Scripps College and an M.F.A. in writing and literature from Bennington College. She is a graduate of the New York University Publishing Program and a recipient of a Martin Dibner Writing Fellowship. She has worked as a publicist, writer, and editor in magazine and book publishing in New York.
